All D-2 visa holding international students are required to obtain permission from the immigration office prior to starting a part-time job. The following, however, do not require permission: teaching assistantship at the university they are enrolled in, work-study jobs on campus

- English track (Asian Women’s Studies, TESOL, GSIS – International Studies, Global MBA, DIS) students may submit a) an official document stating that all courses are conducted in English and b) TOEFL 530(CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, or TEPS 601(New TEPS 327) as an alternative to TOPIK.
- Students from a country where English is the official language are exempt from having to submit the above b) certificates.
Allowed Part-Time Jobs
- Limited to simple part-time jobs students have in general
- Restaurant assistant, office assistant, etc.
- Tour guide assistant, duty-free shop sales assistant, etc.
Prohibited Fields and Activities
- Construction, manufacturing industries
- Private tutoring
- High-tech industries and research institutes that require employment restrictions for national industrial security purposes
- Other activities that are not appropriate for students or fields that require employment restrictions by the Minister of Justice
- Facilities related to foreign language education for children
e.g. English kids' cafes, English camps, foreign language conversation institutes, etc. - Working as a "rider" for food delivery app companies

Up to one year within your period of stay, up to 2 work places at a time
